Debbie’s Tips #59

✨Confession.✨I was absolutely miserable in this photo. It was mine and Themi’s 12 Year wedding Anniversary and he took me out for a special unch.
I had a little pep talk to myself before I got out the car. More specifically, it was, “I can do this.”
✨However, the main point is…I LOOK at peace. I LOOK happy. From an outside perspective, life looks pretty awesome but I was completely heartbroken in this moment. My dad was very ill and we knew he only had a few days left to live 💔😥
This is just a small example of a bigger idea.
👉It’s easy to compare our own lives and experiences to other’s and make judgments about them and ourselves in that process. However, you just NEVER know when someone might be hurting and need support, even if things seem great.
💡Be quick to show kindness, and slow to judge. You never know what is going on inside someone else’s head. They may seem happy and perfect, but inside they could be hurting and need your compassion.
Be mindful of making comparisons in your body, food choices, success, or anything else. Appearances are not always what they seem.
💛Nothing (and no one) is perfect. We all have bad days. Give yourself some grace as you build the life you want and give grace to others as they build theirs.
