Debbie’s Tips #157

✨Goals to leave behind…
Having goals is great and important, but there are certain types of goals that can do more harm than good.
Here are some goals you can ditch:
1️⃣Needing to weigh a certain number on the scale. ✨Seriously. It often does more harm than good. It doesn’t give you an accurate picture of your progress.
2️⃣Trying to be perfect.✨Perfection. Does. Not. Exist.
3️⃣”Stop” and “Give Up” goals for nutrition✨When you say you are going to “stop eating carbs” or “give up sugar,” you set yourself up for failure.
What happens if you eat foods that were off limits? That often leads to feelings of failure and throwing in the towel completely, or swinging the opposite way and further restricting to “make up for it.”
It’s much better to work in balances so that you choose nutritious foods most of the time, but don’t create strict rules with food.
💛Reframing your goals can make a huge impact on your overall mindset and allow you to enjoy the process of reaching your goals.
You no longer have to believe that you will only be happy “once you get there.”
You can be happy now, just as you are, while you work hard to reach your goals.✨
