Debbie’s Tips #29

✨Haven’t worked out in a while? Here are 2 ways to get started again🙂👇⁣

1️⃣Start slow. It still COUNTS!⁣

Sometimes, people are “all in or all out” thinking that if you don’t get in a specific length of workout every day of the week it “doesn’t count,” so they don’t end up doing anything at all.⁣

If getting in an hour long or even a half hour of a workout feels daunting, set a timer for 10 minutes and just move. ⁣

It could be a walk, stretching, some push ups and squats, or something like a @hiitburn workout! ⁣

Bring some rain to that drought and just start moving. ⁣

You can always kick it up a notch the next day to keep your streak going. 10 minutes of movement counts!⁣

2️⃣Set a realistic schedule ⁣

Again, it’s easy to have an all or nothing mindset. If it’s not realistic to train 5x per week, start with 4 or 3 or 2. ⁣

Just like earlier, it still counts! It will help you get back in the groove and rebuilding the habit.⁣

💛A bonus third tip… Give yourself a little grace as you get back into it.⁣

It’s ok if you used to be stronger. ⁣

It’s ok if you were in better shape back then.⁣

Starting now is one step closer to being stronger and feeling like yourself again.⁣

Take off the pressure to be perfect and just move. You won’t regret it.🙃
