✨Are you terrified of certain foods?A lot of people feel fear and/or anxiety when it comes to eating certain foods. When people experience those feelings, they’ll often avoid these foods or cut them out completely. This is a very slippery slope. Food avoidance may seem like a simple solution, but it not only can lead to disordered habits, but it really can mess with your mind and create even MORE fear and anxiety.💡If you get super defensive about your choices, take a step back and think about why you’re reacting that way. It’s hard to take a look at yourself that way (thinking that it’s everyone else just judging your choices), but it can be really powerful to uncover detrimental restrictions and habits.Food avoidance out of fear isn’t the answer. You don’t have to live in fear of food. 💛Making peace with food will allow you the clarity to understand how to eat mindfully, so that mindfulness AND flexibility become intuitive.
