✨Are you eating ENOUGH?I recently had a client say to me, “I appear to have fallen back into the trap of not eating enough… Funny – the less I eat, the more my midsection bothers me.”I thought this was such profound awareness on her part.👉Have you ever experienced this?Maybe you were getting ready for a photo shoot, holiday or just living in everyday life and found yourself eating less and hyper critical of yourself.Sometimes, when you become SO fixated on every bite you are consuming, you end up being even more hyper critical of your body. Why? There are lots of reasons that this may happen. 1️⃣Under eating can impact how your body functions. It can impact your hormones and cause more anxiety and stress. It can also make you feel more tired, groggy, irritable, and just in a cloudy, confused fog.In addition, it can impact your metabolism, strength, and overall performance.2️⃣Thoughts become things. When you’re only thinking about food and how it impacts your body, you’re more likely to be completely consumed by…you guessed it…food and your body.It’s great to be informed and mindful about the food you’re eating, but it when it becomes all consuming, it’s a slippery slope into rigidity, obsession, and potentially disordered eating.Food is essential, so it’s important to catch things like patterns of under eating (whether they be intentional or not). ✨ Zooming out to see the big picture of your gifts and your life is really important. There isn’t anything inherently wrong with wanting to make changes to your body, but your body is just a small piece of who you are.💛You are so much more than just what you eat and how your body looks. You are great because of who you are, not because of how much (or how little) you eat.
